When three 2nd level PCs fight two wererats (3 HD) to get no Disadvantage, and you make one roll and miss, does everyone take the same damage? Or am I seriously misinterpreting the 'adding people into the fight' rule?

Edited: I suppose the logical way would be two fights. One at Advantage, one at Disadvantage.

  1. There's more than one way to do this, depending on what is being described, and in what order.

Assuming it's a new turn and no one's been doing anything else, I would first clarify who attacks whom, and which character gets no damage if they fail their check.

    Does that make sense?
