I'm trying to think of actions associated with each statistic (STR, DEX, INT, CHA, CON, WIS) that can be used in a fight. Looking for suggestions with effects.
For example, during fights (from rulebook):
STR is use for melee, potential for damage.
DEX is used for missile, potential for damage.
INT is used for wizard spells, potential for effect.
Any suggestions for CHA, WIS, and CON?
For CHA I was thinking negotiation or intimidation (suggested by rulebook), step down morale dR. Monster response depends on whether character is negotiating or intimidating.
CON maybe as a stamina check, step down morale dR or pass for advantage, fail for disadvantage on next roll.
WIS to gain a tactical advantage, pass for advantage on next roll.
CHA could be used to yell and distract, CON could be used to grapple and weather their kicking and punching to keep a hold on them, WIS could be used to determine weak points (and give an advantage?)
ReplyDeleteWIS and CHA can be used for magic as well, depending on your character.
ReplyDeleteWIS and INT for perception checks to notice a critical detail - reinforcements coming, a weak point, understand the opponents' tactics, etc.
DEX to avoid missile fire, and also to sneak up or climb into an advantageous position.
CHA to inspire or regroup followers.
CON and WIS to save versus poison and magic.
CHA might be useful for feints and bluffs.
ReplyDeleteINT might be used to remember lore and weaknesses (like the 'rumours' rule perhaps).
Those are all good ideas. Thanks!
