To me Planescape and dimension hopping sit in different headspace. Of course there will be portals in 'Scape but they do not have the role cars have in MadMax like they have in more portaly games.
I agree with mister Greco: Planescape and dimension hopping aren't necessarily the same. Answering for the former I'd say: - the metaphysical made mundane (gods and souls, angels and demons) - belief shapes reality - factions - weirdness everywhere - the slang, you barmy!
