Just picked this up. So far so good!! Just few questions regarding armour.
If someone rolls a 1-3 do they still get whatever they rolled for the remainder of that combat even though their dR is reduced?
Also. If they take a quick rest the dR only refreshes to its current dR not its original? That can only happen if it's completely repaired yes?
So with all that being said any d4 armour is pretty much toast every fight yeh?
Cheers.
My interpretation and how I am going to play:
ReplyDelete1) Yes, they get the 1-3 points for armor.
2) Rest refreshes to current dR.
3) I am going to make a roll of 1 on 1d4 mean the armor is toast, but a 2-3 means the PC can pay someone to repair it.
What Chris said =)
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, d4 armour is pretty lame. I would decide on a case by case basis if a suit of armour that goes below d4 is ruined, and who can repair it.
I'll just piggyback on this thread rather than start a new one.
ReplyDeleteHow much damage does an unarmed attack do?
d3, d4? More with relevant traits and/or abilities.
ReplyDeleteI'd let the type of armor decide if it is reparable by the player, a specialist, or not at all. Something made from phone books and scrap iron might just need a roll of duct tape. Your pixie butterfly-silk tunic probably needs pixie ministrations, while an experimental alchemi-suit might be thorughly effed.
ReplyDeleteI'd definitely let the PC have the 1-3 armor points for the duration of the battle.
Maybe we should have a FAQ? :D
ReplyDeleteWhat, more work? =)
ReplyDeleteNo FAQ until revisions are done!
ReplyDeleteOoh, so looking forward to the 1st edition. :)
ReplyDeleteTore Nielsen Give us some more time to sort stuff out =)
ReplyDeleteNo rush. :-D
ReplyDeleteNo more sort! More revising! ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to resist adding more material when I keep producing it, Chris Stieha =) But the sorting out is more editorial stuff actually. It'll take some time but we'll get there.
