I've mentioned previously I'm planning to run Luka Rejec 's Ultraviolet Grasslands with Macchiato Monsters. I put some notes together for this, which I have not playtested yet because the game doesn't start until next month. But I thought they might be of some interest, so, here you go. Comments are turned on, so feel free to leave any thoughts on the document you wish.

Man, this is great! I'm sure it'll useful at Côme Martin 's table as well!
ReplyDeleteEric Nieudan I'm interesting in your take on the "Making the Caravan" section. Specifically how "big" do you think Gold dR12 would be to buy stuff for a caravan (hirelings, mounts, etc.) Does it seem way to big, just right, not big enough? Interested in other's thoughts as well, obvs.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this, Hans!
ReplyDeleteHans Messersmith Sure, I'll have a proper look when I'm done prepping for Lasagna Con.
ReplyDeleteHans Messersmith I've had a look and I really like it! It makes me want to play more UVG (which I should be able to do soon).
ReplyDeleteNot sure about how the currency system would work though - what's the system like in UVG?
Otherwise, Δ12 coins filling up a whole sack sounds about right. Precious metals are hella heavy.
Eric Nieudan currency is abstracted as cash. 2500 coins per sack approx.
ReplyDeleteUVG just uses "coins" Eric Nieudan, which are flexibly equivalent to "gold coins" in whatever system one might be using.
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking it!
Hans Messersmith Luka Rejec Thanks for the explanation. Then I suppose it works perfectly with your rules, Hans.
ReplyDeleteEric Nieudan the 'default' sack is very explicitly tailored to what a Str 10 D&D 5e character can carry.
ReplyDeleteLuka Rejec I guess it makes it more realistic that MM, where a character can carry as many coffers of coins Δ12 as they have CON points... =D
ReplyDeleteEric Nieudan if that’s all they carry, they’ll starve!
