Looking for some rules clarification on consumables. When a player buys an extra stock of a consumable (e.g. a ration) does it give them an extra risk die? For example 1dR6 becomes 2dR6. After the first dR6 is consumed would it then go down to 1dR6 of stock?
Yes, or convert two d6s into a d8 like with money bags. Though I really prefer leaving them separate since you retain the type of food it is.
ReplyDeleteRisk dice don't add up this way. As Brett says, you can fuse them to make bigger dice, but otherwise you're stuck with two separate items that take space in your inventory (which is the point, actually :)
ReplyDeleteThat said there's nothing to stop you from writing down dice as 2dR4 or 3dR8. Especially if you're not too bothered about the encumbrance rules.
Just make sure your players understand the dice aren't rolled together.
Okay got it, two separate items or fuse them into a higher risk die
ReplyDeleteKyle Thompson That's it.
ReplyDeleteOr whatever else you feel like doing. The scene is called DIY RPGs for a reason :)
